What is the difference between a LCD Controller and a Video Converter?
LCD Controllers have multiple types of video inputs, and can upscale or down scale video. LCD Controllers also convert the frame rate of the incoming video to match that of the LCD. LCD Controller boards can be used with LVDS and TTL type LCDs.
Video Converters convert one type of video input usually to LVDS. Video Converter boards do not scale video. The input source video must be the same resolution as the LCD.
